Dancing Tree

Description

The "dancing trees" of Sumba Island are a sight to behold, especially during sunset when the waters recede, revealing the roots of the dwarf mangrove trees. These trees, which are so bizarrely shaped they almost look like they are frozen in a dancing motion, are a result of the unique shapes of the mangrove trees influenced by the water's surface reflecting sunlight at various angles.
